Matt Morrow will be the new president and CEO of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the group announced Wednesday at its annual Membership Luncheon. Morrow, who previously served on the chamber’s board, succeeds Jim Anderson, who retired from the job after 26 years.
A former Springfield resident, Morrow worked for the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield for close to 12 years and was the organization’s CEO when he resigned in 2012. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and CEO of the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders, the fifth-largest local home builders association in the U.S. He also has experience working in broadcast media, politics and communications.
