Missouri has two of the country’s five best cities for jobs in 2017, according to a new ranking from Glassdoor, a website that tracks data on jobs and companies.
Kansas City ranked third in the report, and St. Louis was fifth.
In Kansas City, 90,649 job opportunities are open, according to the report, with software engineer, research associate and audit manager among the hottest positions.
St. Louis has 104,725 openings, according to the report, which lists electrical engineer, communications manager and recruiter as a few of the hottest.
Pittsburgh ranked the first on the list, followed by Indianapolis. Raleigh, N.C., ranked fourth, sandwiched between Kansas City and St. Louis.
The report ranked metro areas according to their overall “Glassdoor City Score,” which factors in hiring opportunity, cost of living and job satisfaction, weighing all three factors equally.
