ScaleUP! Kansas City, a program designed to help entrepreneurs scale their businesses, has begun accepting applications for its spring 2020 cohort.

Up to 15 Kansas City-based companies will be chosen for the program’s 10th cohort, which runs from January to May 2020, according to a release. Applications are due Dec. 15.

ScaleUP! Kansas City is a free program administered by the University of Missouri-Kansas City Innovation Center. It connects business owners to resources like expert speakers, peer mentoring and one-on-one business coaching.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must be leaders of a firm that has been in business for at least two years and has at least two employees. The company must have annual sales of more than $200,000 and a strong market that can generate more than $1 million, according to the release.

More than 150 companies have gone through the program. According to the release, ScaleUP! has helped alumni “open new businesses, expand operations, hire new employees and increase revenues.”
