My colleague Jason Wiens and I are heading to SXSW Interactive this week and are very excited about participating once again at the conference.
There is a lot going during the event, but there is one particular session I’d like to recommend: a panel in which Jason will be speaking with U.S. Senator Jerry Moran and Director at Glasshouse Policy Thomas Visco. They’ll be talking about crowdsourcing policy-making, and if entrepreneurship policy is important to you, I’d certainly recommend you to attend it.
More info about it below. Hope to see you there.
What: Putting the Public back into Public Policy (panel)
In 2016, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and Glasshouse Policy will introduce new tools in policy development. On this panel, Kauffman will unveil a baseline policy matrix which will drive entrepreneurship policy conversations across the country. Separately, Glasshouse will introduce a policy crowdsourcing tool to support, assess, and report on community trends and priorities. Hear from Senator Moran, a leading entrepreneurship advocate in Congress, the Kauffman Foundation and Glasshouse Policy on how new tools, including the Kauffman policy matrix, could be used to better engage, educate and empower entrepreneurs and innovators.
When: Friday, March 11, 5:00PM – 6:00PM
Where: JW Marriott
110 E 2nd St, Austin, TX
- Jason Wiens – Policy Director at the Kauffman Foundation
- Jerry Moran – Senator at the U.S. Senate
- Thomas Visco – Policy Director at Glasshouse Policy
