SBA Webinar 7(j) Lunch-n-Learn Series

Noon-4 p.m. at SBTDC – UMKC (4747 Troost Ave., Kansas City)

This is the discounted registration for the seven-webinar series for the SBA 7(j) program for businesses. Topics include government contracting and construction business management. Hosted by the UMKC SBTDC and MO PTAC, this lunch-and-learn federal contracting series will have SBA staff on site to assist and answer questions.

FastTrac NewVenture

9 a.m.-4 p.m. at SBTDC – UMKC (4747 Troost Ave., Kansas City)

In FastTrac NewVenture, a program of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation of Kansas City and brought to you by the UMKC SBTDC and University of Missouri Extension, you will look at all aspects of your proposed company, exploring the feasibility of your business concept and learning how to develop a viable business plan. Participants will learn about startup issues and learn to address the competition, legal matters, marketing and financial management aspects. FastTrac participants don’t just learn about business, they work on their own business endeavors throughout the course. This program is fast-paced and energizing, using guest speakers and lots of group breakout activities.

StartLouis is a grassroots community of bootstrappers, solopreneurs, and startup enthusiasts in St. Louis. Our mission is to bring St. Louis entrepreneurs together for learning and collaboration.

Our monthly meetup event features a presentation and Q&A session with an accomplished St. Louis CEO, plus a short talk from one of our own members. All are welcome, free of charge!

Operation JumpStart

Operation JumpStart is a nationally recognized, highly successful training model for individuals considering starting or expanding a business. Participants will learn essential business planning and preparation skills such as product pricing, legal structure, competition marketing and cash flow management.
