Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley has enlisted the help of Katie Walsh, a St. Louis native and former deputy chief of staff for President Donald Trump, to raise funds for Hawley’s U.S. Senate campaign.
Walsh was a senior staffer at the Republican National Committee credited for helping build the organization and fundraising operation that helped Trump secure victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Walsh will seek to help Hawley, the Republican frontrunner, who is lagging well behind the Democratic incumbent, U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill, in fundraising.
McCaskill is viewed as one of the most vulnerable Democratic Senators up for re-election this year after Trump won Missouri by nearly 19 points in 2016.
