Lucity, an Overland Park, Kansas-based software company that specializes in technology for local government, has been acquired by CentralSquare Technologies, according to a press release.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced.
CentralSquare plans to add developers and sales staff at the Overland Park office, which currently employs about 65 people, the Kansas City Business Journal reports.
Lucity works with hundreds of municipal agencies nationwide on “office-to-mobile” software tools for local governments, public works and utility departments.
CentralSquare Technologies, which is based in Lake Mary, Florida, provides a software platform for municipalities and counties to manage community development, utility billing, taxes and other functions.
The acquisition will help local governments by providing more streamlined software offerings, CentralSquare said.
