Core & Main, a St. Louis-based company that sells water, sewer and fire protection products, has announced a pair of acquisitions, including the purchase of another company based in the St. Louis area.
Core & Main will acquire substantially all of the assets of DCL Fabrication & Supply, a Bridgeton-based company that specializes in fire protection products, according to a press release.
In a separate deal, Core & Main is buying select assets from Maskell Pipe & Supply, a California-based distributor of high-density plastic piping, the company announced in another release.
The company did not disclose the financial terms of either deal.
The purchases mark the fifth and sixth acquisitions by Core & Main since it became an independent company in 2017, according to the press releases.
Core & Main executives cited DCL’s strong regional foothold in the Midwest as a driving factor in the acquisition.
Darrell Dick Jr., co-owner and vice president and operations manager of DCL, will continue as branch operations manager for Core & Main.
The Maskell deal provides Core & Main a chance to expand its presence in the market for high-density polyethylene piping, according to the release.
