CHART: How Missouri gets to work

Missourians drive more and take public transportation less than Americans on average, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

As a whole, 86.6% of Missourians drive alone on their commute, compared to 80.6% of Americans. Missouri’s usage of public transportation also lagged behind the national average, with residents commuting with public transportation 4% less than other Americans on average.
