FDA Approves Cerner’s Mobile Health Tool

Cerner Corp. has received pre-market clearance from the Food and Drug Administration for a system that lets health care workers monitor mothers and babies using iPads or iPhones.

That means Cerner FetaLink+ now is available in the United States and in U.S. territories.

North Kansas City-based Cerner (Nasdaq: CERN) said in a Tuesday release that the new mobile tool improves efficiency, eliminating the need for clinicians to have direct access to a hospital, clinic or desktop computer to look at information from fetal monitoring devices.
