Boeing Developing New Flight Simulation For Jet Fighters

Boeing Co. said it’s developing new flight simulation capabilities for the U.S. Air Force F-15E and U.S. Navy F/A-18E/F under a three-year, $6.3 million contract.

The new technology provides pilots with training in a virtual strike environment, possibly decreasing the number of real aircrafts and other assets used in practice.

The contract, through the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, calls for the pilot project to culminate in a demonstration at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada late next year, Boeing said Wednesday
