Significant third quarter passenger increases at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport may help make up for decreased passenger traffic caused by weather delays in the first months of 2014.

Lambert saw a 3 percent increase in the third quarter, serving more than 3 million passengers. The airport recorded monthly passenger increases of 1.6, 1.6 and 5.1 percent over September, August and July of last year, respectively.

The airport has also seen an uptick in the number of Cargo departures, which were up 22 percent in September.
