Kroenke meeting with California mayor fuels relocation speculation



St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke is set to meet with Inglewood, Calif., mayor James Butts Jr. later this year, which will likely add to speculation that Kroenke will move the team to the Los Angeles suburb. Speculation that the Rams are on their way out of St. Louis has been growing over the past several years, heightened by Kroenke’s purchase of 60 acres between The Forum and Hollywood Park in Inglewood.

If a new stadium was built for the Rams in St. Louis, the team would be valued at $1.5 billion. A Los Angeles Rams franchise would be worth an estimated $2.1 billion.
