McKee’s legal woes raise questions about north St. Louis redevelopment



Lawsuits facing Paul McKee, his McEagle Properties and other businesses could jeopardize the St. Louis developer’s efforts to remake a sizable swath of north St. Louis.

Questions have arisen over the future of McKee’s NorthSide Regeneration, a project years in the making, amid a suit by a Kansas City-based creditor, Titan Fish Two LLC.

The recent developments around McKee also appear to have strained his relationship with St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay as McKee attempts to win for NorthSide the new home of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency.

The $1.6 billion NGA project, which could bring 3,100 jobs to north St. Louis, is the mayor’s top development priority.
