Dry October leads to spread of drought conditions in Missouri

Drought conditions spread across the state last week despite some rain from Hurricane Patricia.

Eighty-eight percent of Missouri was listed as moderate drought or abnormally dry, up from 70 percent the week before.

The season’s dry conditions have affected grass growth, which in turn has had an impact on beef farmers.
