Kansas City takes No. 2 spot in US wireless ranking

Kansas City ranked No. 2 among U.S. metro areas for wireless performance in the second half of 2017, according to a new RootMetrics report.

RootMetrics, a wireless research company, developed the ranking by testing wireless experiences in six categories across 125 metropolitan markets.

Kansas City topped the list for service reliability and data performance. Its network speeds were second and call performance fourth. The area landed 14th for texting.

Lansing, Michigan, was No. 1 on the list. Rounding out the top five were Fort Wayne, Indiana, Chicago and Cleveland.
