Auto supplier Faurecia said Thursday that it will open a new facility in Blue Springs. The plant, which will produce door and instrument panels, will create 300 jobs, according to a release.
Production is scheduled to begin later this year and ramp up to full capacity in 2020. Faurecia estimates the total investment in the 250,000-square-foot plant will exceed $60 million.
This will be Faurecia’s third Missouri plant. It currently operates a Clean Mobility facility in Dexter and a seating plant in Wentzville.
Faurecia is the world’s top supplier of vehicle interiors, according to the company’s website, producing instrument panels and center console, cockpits, door panels and modules, acoustic products and decorative components.
