As it awaits completion of its new office tower in downtown Clayton, Centene has signed a lease to occupy more than 60,000 square feet of office space in nearby St. Louis, its first office space within the city limits.
That continues a trend of the Clayton-based health insurer leasing space around the St. Louis area to accommodate its rapid growth.
Centene recently leased a building in Creve Coeur that was formerly home to Rabo AgriFinance. Centene also has leased space in Clayton, Richmond Heights, Chesterfield and north St. Louis County.
The company’s new space in St. Louis formerly was occupied by engineering firm AECOM. The deal will expire in September 2023.
Centene’s new Clayton tower is scheduled for completion in 2020.
