With a $53 million building set to open in St. Louis’ Cortex innovation district later this month, the building’s developer is eyeing other projects for the area.
Mark Gorski of Baltimore-based Wexford Science and Technology said his firm has engaged in discussions with design firm HOK about two new buildings for the 200-acre district.
He said the new buildings would be ideally house additional IT and biotech lab space. Lack of lab space has been identified as a challenge for some companies in the region.
Tenants for the Cortex building set to open this month include Microsoft, the Cambridge Innovation Center, Venture Cafe’s Innovation Hall and Accenture.
