Manna Pro Products, a Chesterfield-based maker of animal nutrition products, has acquired Dallas-based VetScience and its Fruitables brand of dog treats and supplements.

It marks the latest in a series of recent acquisitions by Manna Pro, which bought four companies in 2017, expanding its product lines to include wellness, grooming, oral care and flea and tick offerings.

Manna Pro is one of the largest privately held companies in the St. Louis area. It posted 2017 revenue of $197 million, a 12.6 percent increase over the prior year.

The company is owned by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, which bought it in late 2017.
