Andrew Deister was named president and CEO of Russell Stover Chocolates, the Kansas City-based candy and chocolate maker. Previously, Deister served as president and CEO of Robert Rothschild Farm, a specialty food company in Ohio. Deister succeeds Andreas Pfluger, who has been the CEO since the company was acquired by Lindt & Sprüngli in 2014.
Cate Manley will serve as the new executive director of Habitat for Humanity, the nonprofit housing organization, in St. Joseph. She previously was the director of operations for ANDRUS Center for Learning and Innovation, a social service organization in New York. Manley filled a vacancy created by the resignation of former executive director Melissa Koch in April.

Jim Weddle, CEO of Edward Jones, topped a list of the 100 highest-paid executives in St. Louis in 2016. The top five executives on the list, compiled by the St. Louis Business Journal, are all from Edward Jones, the St. Louis-based financial services company. Weddle made $11.2 million in 2016.
Charles Ambrose, president of University of Central Missouri, will serve on the board of directors of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ambrose has been the university’s president since August 2010.
Ramon “Trey” Luina III, former chief financial officer of CMS Communication Inc., pleaded guilty to embezzling about $2.8 million from the St. Louis company.
