Missouri Income Growth Slowed Down In 2012

New figures from the federal Bureau of Economic Analysis show that personal income in Missouri  grew 3 percent in 2012. That’s faster than inflation, but it’s slower than 2011’s 4.6 percent clip and slower than the 3.5 percent rate of the nation as a whole.

The states with fastest income growth were mostly in the energy belt in the nation’s mid-section — North Dakota topped the list — and along the West Coast. Missouri ranked 34th.
