St. Louis Economic Development Partnership Releases Strategic Plan

The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership released a strategic plan for the city and county of St. Louis with goals that include supporting startups and the entrepreneurial community, increasing foreign trade and attracting immigrants.

St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley and St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay both endorsed the plan at a meeting Tuesday. Slay emphasized that the city and county can now begin to work together, rather than competing against each other for economic development.

The plan also emphasized the need to retain and expand job opportunities especially for young professionals.
