Missouri Metro Unemployment Climbs In May, Still Below 2013 Level

The unemployment rate in all of Missouri’s metropolitan areas increased from April to May, but those rates have fallen compared to May of 2013, according to statistics released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Approximately 6.1 percent of Missouri’s labor force was unemployed in May, up from 5.9 percent in April and down from 6.5 percent in May of 2013, the government agency reported.
