Missourians more pessimistic about economy than most of US

Missourians are far less optimistic about the economy than the rest of the nation, according to the inaugural effort by Arvest Bank to drill deeper into consumer sentiment. The initial Arvest Consumer Sentiment Survey showed the index in Missouri at 68.6, far lower than the national average of 82.5 reported by Thompson Reuters and the University of Michigan.

Seeing those vast differences is exactly why Arvest commissioned the study, to get a better view of how clients throughout the bank’s footprint see the economy.
