Survey shows spike in Kansas Citians pleased with city’s image

Kansas City is a good if not excellent city to call home, according to 3 out of 4 residents who responded to a recent survey. A smaller proportion of Kansas Citians — but still a majority — is pleased with the city services provided.

Although less than half of survey respondents said they were “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with public transit in the city and fewer than a third responded positively about public infrastructure, 56.5 percent of Kansas City residents had a positive perception of the city’s overall image. That’s up from 45 percent two years ago and 37 percent in 2005, the first year the current survey format was used.
