Kansas City GDP grows, St. Louis stays even

With 1.4 percent growth, the Kansas City area was one of 292 metropolitan areas to show an increase in real GDP, and St. Louis saw almost no change. The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis released 2013 real gross domestic product figures for metropolitan areas that showed growth of 2.5 percent for the Plains region and 1.7 percent for all U.S. metro areas.

The highest growth rate in Missouri was Jefferson City’s 3.1 percent.
