The Kansas City Area Development Council, an agency tasked with attracting new businesses to the Kansas City area, has identified two new executives.
Tim Cowden, who has served as the council’s vice president of business development since 2000, will become its new CEO, effective Feb. 1. He replaces Bob Marcusse, who is retiring after 25 years as chief executive.
Martin Mini, who has worked with the KCADC since 1995, will become the organization’s new chief marketing officer.
The KCADC is the organization behind economic development efforts like KC SmartPort, KC Animal Health Corridor, KCnext and TeamKC.
