Missouri added nearly 51,000 jobs from October 2015 to October 2016, according to new employment data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
That ranks the state 15th out of 50 for jobs added. It also ranks 20th for percent change, at 1.8 percent. Missouri had 2,838,500 nonfarm jobs as of October 2016, according to the data.
Some 41 states and the District of Columbia added jobs since October 2015, while nine states reported declines.
