Missouri’s unemployment rate decreased slightly in June after a three-month stagnation, according to new data from the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for June was 3.8 percent, down from 3.9 percent in March through May. In June 2016, the unemployment rate was 4.7 percent.
The state added 11,900 jobs in June, and just more than 21,000 workers left the workforce.
The service-providing industry experienced the largest growth in June, adding 8,600 jobs
Missouri has added 46,600 jobs since June 2016.
