In Episode 2 of Pitchin’, founders face decisions about building startup teams

Drew Patel has a simple rule when it comes to personnel decisions involving his startups.

“Just don’t go into business with your friends,” he said, “and it works.”

Patel, a University of Missouri student and serial entrepreneur, discusses the origins of that philosophy in the latest episode of Pitchin’, a podcast following three student entrepreneurs as they juggle school and startups while preparing for a pitch competition that could change their fortunes.

In Episode 2, we talk teams. All three entrepreneurs have different approaches to selecting the people with whom they will build businesses. And those choices create unique dynamics — and challenges — for each of the startups.
