Pure Pitch Rally will host an in-person competition featuring startups competing for cash and other prizes at the Loews Hotel Kansas City on Oct. 12.
The competition will consist of eight startups pitching their companies in front of more than 80 investors. The investors will evaluate the pitches and each give $1,000 to one of the startups at the competition’s conclusion. Up to $1 million in cash and other resources will be awarded, according to the event’s organizers.
The eight startups come from a range of industries. They include Air Traffic Awareness, a startup building technology to improve aviation safety; PMI Rate Pro, a tool for quoting private mortgage insurance rates; and SureShow, a telehealth platform for dentists.
Organizers said the venue for the event — a 13,000-square-foot ballroom at the downtown hotel — will allow for social distancing. Masks are required.
“The fifth annual Pure Pitch Rally will be bigger, better and safer than ever,” Pure Pitch Rally founder Karen Fenaroli said in a press release. “We will be taking the utmost precautions to keep founders, land sharks and sponsors safe.”
