SBA Awards MO $1M to Boost Exports for State’s Small Businesses

Missouri has been awarded more than $1 million in competitive funding from the U.S. Small Business Administration to increase the number of Missouri small businesses that export their products. The $1,017,448 in funding is part of the State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) Grant Program, part of the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010.

Missouri set a state record during 2011 with $14.1 billion in export sales revenue. Through the first half of 2012, the state is on pace to break that record, ahead of its 2011 export totals by 6 percent. Read more on St. Louis American.
