Venture Capital for the Masses Kick-starting St. Louis Project

Where others seek creative expression through music or crafting, Jamey Stegmaier long ago found an outlet inventing board games.

The ventures he’s crafted to date have drawn little notice beyond a tightknit online community that favors tradition over the bells and whistles of modern electronic gaming.

That could soon change with a project that has the potential to land on the list of shoppers seeking the perfect birthday or holiday gift for the oenophile in their lives.

“Viticulture: The Strategic Game of Winemaking” may be Stegmaier’s brainchild. But he’s more than willing to share credit for the game’s future success with Kickstarter.

The premier source of venture capital for the masses, the three-year-old New York crowd fundingsite draws financial backing for small projects ignored by large scale investors. With commitments totaling nearly $50,000, Viticulture currently ranks number one among the St. Louis generated projects on the Kickstarter site.
