The Arch Grants entrepreneurship competition is seeking applicants for its second round of financing, and plans to grow from 15 to 20 recipients.

The program awards $50,000 – plus professional services, reduced rent and access to local universities and investors – to innovative startups that locate in downtown St. Louis. In May, it awarded its first round of grants, $750,000 in all, funded by a mix of state and local funds and donations from private companies.

Arch Grants planned to unveil its $1 million Round Two Thursday at the Startup Connection conference at the St. Louis Science Center.
