It was a productive weekend for the 60 people who took part at the Startup Weekend business plan competition held at the T-REx technology incubator in downtown St. Louis.

After pitching their ideas on Friday, the participants voted on the best plans and divided into seven teams, said Matt Menietti, a program associate with Capital Innovators and one of the organizers of the event.

The winner of the competition was a business called Form that would create a marketplace for objects and artwork to be created using 3D printing technology.

The winning team will get a $100 downtown St. Louis gift card and a lunch with Hal Gentry, the founder of the Capital Innovators seed fund and accelerator program.
