HCA Midwest Joint Venture Deal Will Add Urgent-Care Centers

A new joint venture between HCA Midwest Health System and Tennessee-based CareSpot will bring as many as six urgent-care centers and roughly 60 jobs to the Kansas City area in 2013.

While five leases have been signed in the areas of Overland Park, Raytown, Parkville and South Kansas City, CareSpot is looking to seal one more location sometime in 2013. Some of the locations are freestanding buildings, while others will be strategically placed in high-visibility shopping centers, Klein said.

The partnership would make HCA Midwest and CareSpot the area’s urgent-care leaders, according to a Thursday release.
