Friends of Arch Grants is holding a membership drive to support the year-old startup program that offers $50,000 grants to young companies in St. Louis. Friends of Arch Grants is designed to help foster an entrepreneurial community in St. Louis and develop a support network for Arch Grants startups. In exchange for a small membership fee, individuals and businesses can join the group and provide social and other non-economic support to Arch Grants recipients and take part in events.
Two-year-old Arch Grants recently named its second class of recipients and continues to search for an executive director after ousting Sarah Spear last month. The program is working with consulting firm Collaborate Strategies in its search for Spear’s replacement. A posting for the job states that the Arch Grants is looking for a dynamic executive director “who will rise to the challenge of spurring even more local economic growth and to lead the organization towards fulfilling its mission at the highest level of excellence.”
