Lumate, a St. Louis startup working to improve mobile ads for viewers and advertisers, raised $450,000 to open an office on the Missouri University of Science and Technology campus in Rolla.

The $450,000 includes funds from the Missouri Technology Corporation’s TechLaunch program and a Small Business Administration loan from First Community National Bank.

Lumate plans to hire 10 Missouri S&T students as part-time developers. The company’s vice president said he hopes the new office will create a “farm system,” connecting talent from Rolla to the company in St. Louis.
