SBA Lending In Kansas City Metro Declines

Small Business Administration lending in the Kansas City area declined in the fiscal year ending Oct. 1 after setting records the two previous years. The SBA made 890 loans in fiscal 2013 in the Kansas City area, worth a total of $336.4 million. That’s down from 909 loans worth $355.4 million the prior year, but well above the average pace during the recent recession. The fiscal 2013 results were similar on a national level, with the SBA lending about $29.6 billion overall in 54,106 loans.
