KC finishes in top 5 in global entrepreneurship competition

Kansas City finished in the top five of a recent competition to recognize mid-sized cities that are most supportive to startups.

The competition, sponsored by the Global Entrepreneurship Congress, recognized places outside of well-known startup hubs like Silicon Valley and London that “successfully attracted entrepreneurs that are playing important roles in creating jobs, building economic resilience and introducing innovative solutions that improve the competitiveness of their country.”

The top five also included Buenos Aires; Genk, Belgium; Madison, Wis.; and Yerevan, Armenia. More than 50 cities around the world applied for the competition.
