This Week in Entrepreneurship Policy: Scalia, recess and State of Entrepreneurship Address

With the sudden news of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s passing this weekend, all of Washington — and much of the country — is focused on the election-year battle to appoint a successor. It is just as well that members of Congress have the President’s Day recess this week and most will be back in their home states and districts.

Not all is quiet in the nation’s capitol this week, however. The Kauffman Foundation’s annual State of Entrepreneurship Address is scheduled for Wednesday at the National Press Club. Jason Wiens, policy director at the Kauffman Foundation, takes a look ahead to the address and the New Entrepreneurial Growth Agenda.

Congress will resume next week.
