Vice President Joe Biden plans to visit LaunchCode’s offices in St. Louis Friday and speak about technology and job creation.
The White House said Biden’s remarks at LaunchCode’s facility on Delmar Boulevard will begin at 10 a.m.
The LaunchCode event, which is not open to the public, will focus on “creating affordable, accelerated education and training opportunities so that more Americans obtain the skills they need to get middle class jobs in high growth fields such as technology,” the White Office’s press office said in an email announcing the St. Louis visit.
Founded in St. Louis in 2013, LaunchCode pairs coders with engineers at dozens of local companies and in South Florida, Kansas City and Rhode Island. LaunchCode plans to expand to Seattle and Portland in January.
