Brazen raises $337,500, eyes expansion and tech upgrades

Brazen, a St. Louis organization that works to help women entrepreneurs grow their businesses through a membership-based training and networking program, has raised $337,500 in a private offering, Brazen confirmed in an emailed statement.

The funds are part of a larger $750,000 raise Brazen is working toward that would “enable Brazen Global Inc. to explore expansion options and invest in our technology platforms,” according to the statement.

Brazen’s website also says that the organization is expanding, and the site promotes Brazen programming to parties interested in purchasing a license to offer it in their cities.

Four investors have contributed to the fundraising round, according to a Form D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Brazen declined to disclose specific investors.

Brazen, formerly Prosper Institute, rebranded in 2017.
