The Missouri Governor’s Conference on Economic Development will host three-time Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Thomas L. Friedman as its 2014 keynote speaker.

Friedman is well known for his bestselling book, “The World is Flat,” and for his work as a columnist for The New York Times. He has also been named as a top influential business thinker and leader by a number of publications.

Each year the conference recognizes top businesses and individuals in the state at the Governor’s Awards Luncheon. The conference also features breakout sessions and businesses exhibitors, along with golfing and boating outings.

The three-day conference will take place Sept. 3 to 5 at the Tan-Tar-A Resort at Lake of the Ozarks.
