Monday

Small Business Legal Clinic

5-6 p.m. at Grace Hill Water Tower Hub (2125 Bissell St., St. Louis)

The Grace Hill Women’s Business Center will be offering low-cost legal clinics to current, former, and prospective clients of the center. Attorneys will be available for 30-minute one-on-one sessions to discuss legal topics relating to new and existing small businesses. Even if you don’t have specific questions, come and tell the attorneys about your business — they can help spot legal issues and give you general guidance. Topics covered include: business formation; employees/contractors; insurance; trademarks, business names and logos; copyright; leases and other contracts.

Missouri Chamber of Commerce 2014 Energy Conference

8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the University of Missouri (Columbia)

This one-day event gathers the brightest and best minds in many facets of energy-related fields for a lively exchange of ideas on topics from renewable energy, energy security, efficiencies, supply concerns and more.

We bring together leaders in the energy-related fields of policy, industry, production, regulation, research and economics to discuss solutions for our state’s most pressing energy challenges. Environmental and security concerns have created an opportunity for fundamental change in the way we produce and consume energy. We will explore opportunities to work together to power Missouri’s energy future.

International Business Council – Restricted Party Screening Issues in Trade Compliance

10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce (202 South John Q. Hammons Parkway, Springfield)

The next event hosted by the International Business Council will be on Wednesday, June 18 at the Chamber office. This session will be an interactive discussion with Ted Galantowicz on restricted party screening issues in trade compliance. The session will include lunch, and the cost to attend is $35 per person.

Governmental Relations Committee Meeting: Legislative Update with Representative Kevin Austin
