FastTrac: Listening to Your Business

9 a.m.-noon at Cole County Extension Center (2436 Tanner Bridge Road, Jefferson City)

Where do you want your business to be in three years? If you don’t know where you are going, how can you make plans to get there? Do you currently spend more time working IN the business rather than ON the business? Here is your chance to think about the future – to think strategically. This is a hands-on workshop was developed by the Kauffman Foundation. The workshop provides business owners and managers the critical evaluation tools and action steps they need to reach their vision.

Business Performance: Measure, Manage and Succeed

9 a.m.-noon at Cole County Extension Center (2436 Tanner Bridge Road, Jefferson City)

Each business has a unique path to success; map your path to success through the use of a balanced set of performance measures. This program teaches a nine-step process that ultimately identifies the factors most critical to your success, creates a balanced set of measures for these factors, and explains how to use those measures to manage your business.

Operation JumpStart

9 a.m.-4 p.m. at SBTDC at Southeast Missouri State University (920 Broadway St., Cape Girardeau)

Operation JumpStart is a nationally recognized, highly successful training model for individuals considering starting or expanding a business. Participants will learn essential business planning and preparation skills such as product pricing, legal structure, competition marketing and cash flow management.

Social Media Marketing

9:15-11:15 a.m. at SCORE Kirkwood Office, PNC Bank Building (333 S. Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood)

The Internet is playing a more significant role in today’s business world. It is important to use social media to grow your business. In this workshop you will learn: managing Twitter and Facebook, social media advertising, how to work with location and review sites such as Yelp and Foursquare, and working with deal sites.
