Monday-Friday

FastTrac New Venture Workshop

9 a.m.-4 p.m. at SLATE – Missouri Career Center (1520 Market St., Suite 3000, St. Louis)

In FastTrac NewVenture you will look at all aspects of your proposed company, exploring the feasibility of your business concept and learning how to develop a viable business plan. Participants will learn about startup issues and learn to address the competition, legal matters, marketing and financial management aspects. FastTrac participants don’t just learn about business, they work on their own business endeavors throughout the course. This program is fast-paced and energizing, using guest speakers and lots of group breakout activities. This is a five-day workshop with materials and lunch provided.

The Integrated Marketing Summit

All day at Sheraton Crown Center (2345 McGee St., Kansas City)

This one-day marketing event starts with registration at  7:30 a.m. and runs till 5:00 p.m. with a networking event from 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. We will feature over 30 speakers covering BtoB and BtoC marketing programs throughout the day.

7:30-9:30 a.m. at Sheraton Hotel Crown Center (2345 McGee St., Kansas City)

Get fresh perspective on the regional, national and global economies when the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce presents our annual Economic Forecast Breakfast. You’ll hear from Frank Lenk of Mid-America Regional Council, presenting the KC Chamber’s proprietary forecast, and Chris Kuehl of Armada Corporate Intelligence, author of the Chamber’s daily Business Intelligence Brief, sharing his business economy insights on 2015. Our returning keynote is Bob Litan, Bloomberg Government’s Director of Research.

Operation JumpStart

9 a.m.-4 p.m. at SBTDC at Southeast Missouri State University (920 Broadway St., Cape Girardeau)

Operation JumpStart is a nationally recognized, highly successful training model for individuals considering starting or expanding a business. Participants will learn essential business planning and preparation skills such as product pricing, legal structure, competition marketing and cash flow management.
