Predicting Your Company’s Cash Needs

KC Chamber Face2Face Speed Networking

8:30-10 a.m. at The Board Room at Union Station (30 West Pershing Road, Kansas City)

Make business connections in 90 minutes at this fast-paced speed networking event for business to business/consumer relationship building. Come prepared with at least 50 business cards, your one minute elevator speech (we do time you), and any other company flyers or brochures to set out on provided share tables.

Speed networking is a great approach to promoting your company, and doesn’t involve forcing yourself to walk across a crowded room to introduce yourself to a total stranger. Anyone can talk about their business for one minute!

Columbia Startup Weekend

Starts Friday at 6 p.m. at Museao (3500 Buttonwood Drive, Columbia)

Columbia Startup Weekend was created to bring the local entrepreneurial community together so that ideas can be sparked and startup magic can happen. Ideas are pitched, teams formed around those ideas, and then the weekend is spent diving into making the idea into a business with the support of great minds serving as mentors to the teams. At the end of the weekend, the teams present their businesses to a panel of judges, and the top three teams are named.
