Missouri sees 7 percent dip in state revenue

Missouri’s net general revenues through January slipped $382 million compared to the same time last year, the Associated Press reports

State Budget Director Dan Haug said Missouri’s revenues are down approximately 7 percent year-over-year.

Individual income tax collections accounted for the biggest drop, which was about 10 percent so far in the fiscal year ending in June.

To fully fund the fiscal year’s budget, lawmakers hope more money will come in as more taxes are filed.
